The first books were great， I remember them quite fondly。 However， the later book got more obviously Christian themes。 Either way， these books were one of my first book series to read and was a start into the fantasy genre for me。

I read some of these as a child and adored everything about them （The Lion， the Witch， and the Wardrobe; Prince Caspian; and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader）。 Narnia is a wonderful universe to lose ourselves into， the characters have lots of personality and the conflicts between them feel real， and easy to identify and see our younger selves in them。

Lewis' most famous work is certainly worthy of its many praises。 The Magician's Nephew， The Horse and His Boy， and The Last Battle were particularly beautiful， and this will certainly be a series that I return to time and again。 Although， what keeps it from a five star rating for me comes from Tolkien's view of analogy as a rather poor literary tool which locks a text into a single interpretation。 In my later reflections， having loved both authors， I think I fall a little more on Tolkien's side Lewis' most famous work is certainly worthy of its many praises。 The Magician's Nephew， The Horse and His Boy， and The Last Battle were particularly beautiful， and this will certainly be a series that I return to time and again。 Although， what keeps it from a five star rating for me comes from Tolkien's view of analogy as a rather poor literary tool which locks a text into a single interpretation。 In my later reflections， having loved both authors， I think I fall a little more on Tolkien's side of things。 Still love this series wholeheartedly。Highest recommendation to anyone。 。。。more
